My Approach

My style is down to earth, warm, and supportive. I believe my clients should control as much of their treatment as possible. I honor an individual's vision of their journey and act as a guide to help them meet their goals. I also offer challenges and strategies to help clients achieve emotional and mental wellness in ways they had not considered before.

My background is in attachment and family structural therapy. This means I believe individuals are deeply affected by their first attachment relationships, and the relationships they form later in life play a part in both their successes and difficulties. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, mindfulness techniques, dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing to promote change and healing.

By exploring relationships with others, and how those relationships have shaped ones self-image, one is better able to attain a sense of true competence and peace.

Sometimes peace means learning ways to react differently within close relationships, communicating more effectively, or identifying relationship patterns that are causing distress and dysfunction, and ways to break those harmful patterns.

Therapy is a process of growth, and I provide a judgment-free environment that encourages self-expression, cognitive and emotional transformation, and self-awareness. No matter your goals, I have the tools and professional experience to help you.

Many of our most intense emotions arise during the formation, the maintenance, the disruption, and the renewal of deep connections.
